Mixing Ratio - 100 parts of MAPEFER 1K with 20-22 parts of water

Pot Life of Mix - approximately 1 hour (at +20C)

Minimum applicable thickness - 2 mm

Waiting time between each coat - approximately 2 hours

Waiting time before applying mortar - 6-24 hours

Application - brush in two coats

Consumption - 100 g/m for 8 mm diameter rebar (2 mm of product applied).
- 250 g/m (approximately 2 mm of applied product on an 8 mm diameter rod).

Features and Benefits

High in density and alkalinity, Mapefer 1K offers excellent resistance to chloride penetration, carbon dioxide penetration and pollutants.
Meets or exceeds the performance of alternate three-component anticorrosion products, when tested at ASTM B117 standards
Excellent workability with long pot life and extended open time
Allows application of repair mortars for up to 14 days after application of Mapefer 1K
When brushed or oversprayed on concrete and masonry surfaces,Mapefer 1K will not act as a bond breaker.

Product Application

Read all installation instructions thoroughly before installation.
Application on steel as an anticorrosion coating

1. Apply by brush within one hour (at 73F) of mixing.
2. Apply in two coats of 1/32 each, totaling 2/32
3. Apply the second coat between 2 and 24 hours of the first coat.
4. Do not apply repair mortar until Mapefer 1K is completely dry, usually after 6 hours at 73F
